Everyone wants more than can be sustainable.

I thought of this quote when studying the concept of money, compounding interest, population growth, and resource depletion.
This applies to many other things as well that revolve around the common greed of mankind and is seen in the highest level of leaders down to very common people. Unfortunately you can't take away the "greed factor" from a human being but you would think higher levels of leadership would have a much greater level of responsibility but that is not always the case.
It dawned on me that the deficits of money are based on this wanted more than is sustainable. The concept of money is put into question but after think it through thoroughly, if you did not have a common medium such as money, there would not be higher levels of science, inventions, or trades such as aviation because lower level barter trading of goods would not produce these higher level functions of society.
There needs to be a certain degree of borrowing but the borrowing must be sustainable for society to advance to higher levels. It takes surplus of resources for certain things to take place. If these core resources are depleted or wasted future advancement is in jeopardy. This include excessive or unbalance growth which causes a society to collapse or experience poverty to some degree.
